This year’s charity donations

The success of Jack and the Beanstalk has allowed us to make  donations to three local charities.  The total amount we’ve donated is £1,500.  The charities are Children First,  Derby Shield and TOGS

You can get more information about Children First and Derby Shield by clicking on the website links below.

TOGS don’t currently have their own website.  They are a clothing bank project based in Osmaston Road, which provides free children and adults clothing to those in need.  You can find more info and contact details in a pdf file on the website of FEE,

Our New Patron

We are pleased to announce the appointment of our new patron, Charles Hanson MRICS, manager of Hansons Auctioneers, and BBC Antiques expert – as seen on Bargain Hunt, Flog It! and The Antiques Roadtrip.

With Hansons Auctioneers being based at Etwall, Charles is a local and high profile patron whose career (which started at Christies) is based on the belief that an auction is a place of theatre and entertainment, with high excitement, drama and tension.  He says “The spark of bringing buyers and sellers together ignites a saleroom”.
