We’re a community-based group who have been performing amateur pantomime in Derby since 1964 (we’ve more or less got the hang of it now). We have a reputation for putting on high quality, family friendly shows with a cast that blends adults, teenagers and older children. It’s hard work but great fun, and we’re always keen to welcome new people who want to get involved – and not just actors. There are lots of things to do – making costumes, props, painting scenery, admin, catering, chaperoning younger cast members, working backstage and front of house – click here if you want to know more.
Our next production will be Alice in Wonderland at our usual venue, St Nicholas Church Hall, Allestree Lane, Derby, on the following dates in 2018:
January 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th
February 2nd and 3rd
Tickets will go on sale in November.
The script read-through will be on Sunday September 10th, and auditions on Sunday September 17th (both at our usual venue). More information will be posted here later this year.
The success of our shows allows us to make annual donations to local charities that work with children and young people.
Details of the charities we have helped in recent years can be found on our News pages.
A big thank you to all our members, helpers and especially our audiences – without you none of this would happen! We hope you enjoyed Red Riding Hood and would welcome comments and constructive feedback from anyone who saw it, via our Contact Us page. We look forward to seeing you in 2018 at Alice in Wonderland.
